Very fantastic location - near The End Of The Earth - Maln Beg - for real rest without any evidence the big cities everyday life (even mobile network was not stable) - just hills, ocean, sheeps.Absolutely nice owner and all the family - I was late (came abt 23-00 - sorry, Paul), but they were so nice and helpful.
It's not bad opinion - but just note for everyone - it's really far from civilization, just mind it before traveling
The hotel was in such a remote area that I felt way out of my element. The owners understood and only charged me for the first night and drove me back to town to catch the bus back to Donegal. Beautiful scenery but one really needs to have a car in that area.
I think the hotel needs to post on their website that you really need a car in that area.
The accomodation is comfortable, good self catering kitchen and comfortable room. Owner (Paul) was nice as well as he drove us to a pub and back at any time we required.
Did not expect the place to be too far from Donegal but it actually is. Good for a country side break.
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were inviting and helpful
I would have liked towels as we didn't bring any
Great view and scenery pictures available for my Donegal web design work as web designer for www.benzinfo.com. Easy access to sandy beaches..and panoramic view of cliffs and natural beauty from Hotel. Very friendly services provided by hotel manager (Paul), for good locations available for my Donegal web design work as well as for family entertainments. Also self catering available which was very handy...
Excellent location and staff, excellent value for money
the host is a very kind and helpfull person! the location surroundings are absolutely impressive and the presence of a free use kitchen is really appreciate (we bought the dinner in a nearby small and cheap supermarket and we cooked it in a complete homelike mood).
there was a strange smell in the room and the shower had no curtain. by the way they are just small details if you stay here for a one night stay as we did. bring towels with you because there are not.
A very warm welcome from friendly proprietors, relaxed hostel type atmosphere. Remote from town, but excellent for enjoying the beautiful countryside. Marvellous breakfast. Helpful advice from the owner for visits in the area..
Our ground floor room was a little noisy in the evening as it opened directly onto the reception area.
Paul and Sharon very friendly. Some reviews said there were no towels which is a lie, they were provided. We loved the freedom of having breakfast and doing the rest of the day what we Wanted and being able to cook our own food in the well equiped kitchen. We had a great time.
The hosts were really helpful and the location is excellent,
This is my second time to be in this B and B. It's just a perfect place like home away from home.
The warmth of the welcome from the owners, Paul and Sharon was the best ever in Donegal. The dining/kitchen and relaxation area was warm and comfortable and we had great freedom to self-cater. Milk, tea and coffee was always available for use. it was a home from home and I would highly recommend it. We will visit again since we felt quite sad leaving.
Friendly helpful owners Lifts to & from pub!! :)) Dog-friendly
3 single beds in room made it tight for space for 2 people and 2 dogs
Location was lovely, nice helpful landlord, lady
So noisy germans, did'nt clean up after their meal in the open kichen. Our room was cold, window couldn't close all the way, bathroom had no shelf or towel racks, nowhere to put anything.
Fantastic stay here. Paul was incredibly pleasant and full of advice on what to see. And when our car broke down in the morning he got it going again. Absolute gentleman. Location was great, so close to plenty of great scenery, and was surprisingly easy to find. Main kitchen area/social area was very nice, the facilities were excellent, and the blazing stove made it a very cosy area to relax in. Beds were comfy, rooms were nice, and the showers worked well. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Would thoroughly recommend.
